With A Wrinkle in Time being turned into a movie I have been reminded about this beloved children’s author! A Ring of Endless Light is a 2002 Disney Channel Original Movie based on the Madeleine L'Engle book of the same name filmed on location in Australia, and starring Mischa Barton in the main lead role. I first read it when I was around Vicky's age (15 i think) and it was such a great book about growing up, and death, and all the troubles you deal with at that age. This is all about dolphins, adolescent life, death and regeneration of limbs in dolphins and the possibilities on human. A teenager struggling to cope with the imminent death of her terminally ill grandfather finds solace in working with a dolphin expert. . It was horrendous and unrecognizable. Parents need to know that A Ring of Endless Light is a sweet Disney TV movie -- based on Madeleine L'Engle's book -- with some emotional moments, but plenty of positive vibes, and stars Mischa Barton.Characters show trust and respect, while messages include believing in yourself and cherishing your relationships. Or even Mr. and Mrs. Austin, who only appear in the movie at the very end. I could really relate to Vicky. The story is plain and straight forward, and there is no plot. Great review! Was this review helpful to you? i've read this book about 5 times and i'm still not sick of it.it's about a girl named vicky who falls for a guy named adam. The cast that they picked was perfect and if fit with the age of the characters. Welcome back. Vicky Austin and the rest of her family spend their time on an island that they normally spend no more than two or three weeks at each summer due to her grandfather’s battle with a form of leukemia.
