Nick escapes from the hospital and meets with Calvin, hoping to learn if the drugs Calvin sold him caused him to hallucinate in the church. Nick says that's old news, and the only reason he stayed at the ranch was that Travis was dead and Luciana was sick. A gunshot goes off. Shane ultimately kills Randall, and then tries to kill Rick, who stabs him in the heart in self-defense. Nick reveals that Luciana went back south. He is concerned by her behavior, telling her to sort out her issues and move on after the loss of her daughters. Troy encourages him to shoot him. As she's about to leave, Nick asks if she is testing him. Shortly after the death of Nick's mother, Nick's group comes into contact with another survivor called Clementine.
