Scobee Planetarium Built in 1961 the Scobee Planetarium, named after alumni astronaut and commander of the space shuttle Challenger Francis “Dick” Scobee, is a true gem of San Antonio College. It was neat to see the constellations in relation to each other and walking out of the planetarium my husband and I could easily find many of the constellations we had just been shown (due to the presenters tips at locating them). Capacity is exactly 101 seats. While not the best planetarium I've ever been to, it was not the worst either.
